Finnsheep are an ancient breed native to Scandinavia. Their fleeces can come in a variety of colours: warm white, black, grey, brown, fawn, and piebald (spotted). Coloured fleeces tend to have sun-bleached tips. Piebald fleeces can be blended together to create a uniform shade or kept separate to create marled, tweed, or heathered looks.
Finn wool is soft, silky, and has a nice crimp. The average micron count is 22-31 microns (spinning count 50s-62s), feeling more on the finer end of the medium wools. Staple lengths can vary from 7.5-15cm (3"-6") and can be prepared either by carding or combing.
This wool is a nice combination of softness and durability and gives you lots of flexibility for how to use it.
