Breeding Stock - Crossbred Shropshire x North Country Cheviot - Proven Ram

Born in May 2020, this crossbred ram has 2 or 3 years left (he settled 14 ewes in a single cycle last fall, then served as our “clean up” ram for the second cycle). He was born unassisted as a twin during the Mother’s Day snow during the pandemic. About a dozen of his daughters have stayed in our flock over the years as commercial crossbred ewes. 

His sire was Son Risen Estrada. 

He was shorn on May 17th 2026 and given his annual vaccination of Glanvac 6. He has cleared four whole-flock tests for Maedi Visna. We test our breeding rams for Johne’s disease and he’s also clear of that disease. His scrapie resistance genotype is AA RR.
